"Drug poisoning deaths are the leading cause of injury death in the United States; they are currently at their highest ever recorded level and, every year since 2011, have outnumbered deaths by firearms, motor vehicle crashes, suicide and homicide."
-Chuck Rosenberg, Acting Administrator, Drug Enforcement Administration
Really? More than by firearms OR suicide OR homicide? This clown directs a major federal law enforcement agency, and he has no clue that more than half of firearm deaths are suicides? And maybe all those movies I watch bias my thinking, but are firearms not frequently used to murder?
Following this flawed statement we see almost endless colorful charts, graphs and statistics, variously going up and down.
Fortunately perhaps, Rosenberg offers no plan to address the problem.
Just now, Pres. Trump said, "We are going to overcome addiction in America."
I can only hope this will mean increased access to buprenorphine rather than more prohibition.
