Restaurateur Gustav tells maid Maj, “You drive me crazy.”

Gustav's brother Carl calls his wife Lydia “Idiot.”
Lydia: “You have olfactory hallucinations.”
Carl: “Insomnia, poverty and humiliation.” (0:48)

Gujstav's theater owner brother Oscar, disoriented, collapses. (1:00)

Oscar dies, family at his side. His actress wife Emelie grieves. (1:12)

Funeral procession. (1:15)

Oscar's son Alexander: coprolalia. (1:16)

Alexander sees Oscar. (1:19, 1:28, 1:34)

Alexander tells his sister Fanny, referring to their step-father’s sister, “And the sister is crazy.” (1:42)

Oscar visits his actress mother Helena. “You’re a good boy, Oscar, and I grieved terribly when you passed away.” (1:45)

Although I can’t overlook the fact that the sleeping aid you gave him possibly made the disaster worse, I also cannot attach any serious importance to it.” (2:52)
