setting

- the surroundings, the material conditions of a therapy session: face to face, sofa, etc. The setting may vary depending on the method used, the therapist, the client and the point reached in the therapeutic journey. It plays an important part in the development of any therapy, - a fact which is often not sufficiently recognised either by the client or by some therapists.
