In adaptational psychodynamics, a kind of overreactive disorder: : "(Obsessive elaboration of common maladaptations): Broodings, rituals, and overt temptations. Tic and stammering as obsessive equivalents;  bedwetting, nail-biting, grinding of teeth in sleep, as precursors of the obsessive pattern."
