Hunter smokes a joint then shares it with a hotel bell hop. (0:41)

Bookmaker Blackie tells Brownie by telephone: “I’m in a... nut house.” (0:46)
Carl shares a joint with Hunter. Hunter: “Good weed.”
Carl shares his joint with two men sitting by a fountain. (0:48)
Carl snorts cocaine. Hunter snorts cocaine. (0:52)
Hunter, referring to the hitchiker: “He was a nut.” Carl snorts. (0:54)
Kramer rolls a joint. Carl shares a bong with Hunter. (0:57)
Carl tells Hunter, “Guns, dope..."
Hunter: “I'm all for dope and ghosts. But, you know, 'crazed dope lawyer turns gun running revolutionary.'” (1:01)
Hunter tells the audience, referring to the candidate, “He’s under sedation.”
Student in the audience: "I was just wondering if you could tell me if you thought that drugs and alcohol would make me a better writer?”
Hunter lights a joint. Joints litter the stage floor. He passes one to his host.
Hunter: “In my case, you know, I hate to advocate drugs or liquor, violence, insanity to anyone.” (1:09)

Hunter tells candidate Richard Nixon, “You know I was never really frightened by... the potheads with their silliness." (1:24)
Hunter tells Carl, “You’re insane. You’re a raving maniac.”
Carl: ”We got dope.”
Hunter: ”You’ve got... dope.” (1:31)
Hunter: “If I had to swear... I’d say Lazlo wasn’t insane.” (1:33)
